[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture of a tulip leaf that was in the shade. I cheated a bit with this shot by spraying the petals with water before shooting. I think the shot turned out well, though.. I like how the colors are vivid yet the picture maintains a gentle, mellow mood.

Hi Brian
I had to chuckle a bit about the cheating part. If that is the extend of your tricks you have nothing to worry about. I can assure you there is a lot more than this happening here on TN. You should really consider uploading your full exif data file as it helps a lot with analysis or advice. Without it one are really shooting in the dark.
It seems like the DOF was very shallow for this shot. If you opened up on the aperture you would have gained much more detail.
However I like the colour and the texture of the petal and the water droplet provides an interesting play and break in the even colours.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. Some more tonight. See you later.

Hi Brian,
a nice picture with lovely colours. The droplets are nice too.
The DOF is a bit shallow, normally a Compact Digi has a very good DOF even in macro-mode.
You did a nice work.
