I know this guy made you bored ;-)

Today I had the great day really, cause I was in Sogucak plateau in Sapanca lake region relation my job. I met the great surprises, different species, even I took some flower and mushroom photos. But I will upload later. Again this spider, but this time it had the prey on his jaws and with different bg what I like it much. Unfortunately prey can't be seen, cause of the shade and the prey so tiny (spider's length is just about 7 mm.)

Thanks for looking...

Good news my friends. This femme is a Zilla diodia.

For identification many many thanks to Peter Harvey from [email protected]

A small spider, up to 4mm long, found on tall heather, brambles, bushes and the lower branches of trees, usually in sheltered shady places. Adults are found from May to July. Zilla diodia is only European member with a size of 2 - 3 mm. (I said it about 7 mm, but legs included that)

The markings and colouring do not vary much. The male of the species is identical to the female except that its abdomen is smaller. This spider does not build a retreat and can be found waiting for prey at the centre of its web.

The web Z. diodia is very finely meshed, more circular than other webs and features a particularly large hub. The lower radius was used as the exit radius for frame construction. This species is very special in the way it constructs the radii. Unlike most other araneid spiders, it incorporates a part of the provisional radius (= exit line) into the definitive radius, thus producing a definitive radius which is doubled on the outer part (where the tension in the radius is larger) and single on the inner part.

Hello Ersin, I like the background a lot. It adds some special touch to the composition. The light conditions also gives a perfect exposure. Great details, I guess here you didn't use the flash. Right? TFs, GAbriel

Hi Ersin,
Great shot, excellent detail and nicely defocused dark background (you always manage to get dark backgrounds :-)). Good flash control too, no glare anywhere. Great shot.

Hello Again,
I think this is the best of the three. Great moment, perfect quality and very good framing. The greens in BG add something nice too.

Hi Ersin!
This one looks really nice. Maybe not so dark mood like in your 'abbyss' picture, but very good pose and details. Green BG is good, 'face' with two big eyes is superb. Very nice work!

Well done on a pic with good detail, Composition and sharpness of subject. TFS,
