[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken back in October 2004 with my old 'point 'n shoot'.

I know this is not a great shot, but I share with you today, this beautiful Sumatran tiger Nisha, who
died suddenly
today at the Auckland Zoo. Nisha had been unwell for the past month.

The Auckland Zoo is currently fundraising to bring a male Sumatran Tiger from Tel Aviv. He is moving to the Auckland Zoo and was a potential mate for Nisha.

This is a very sad day! Thanks for looking

best wishes..and a real shame to see them die in captivity...
in the wild they seem to fade then disappear
god bless

Glorious image im memoriam.

A sad day to see this gaint going to ground.

Hi Pam,
Not so bad photo! Natural colors are, bright light and background that frame the tiger seem a confortable place. We are waiting for a new young male.

Nicely done Pam! This picture looks very natural, although it's taken in the zoo of Auckland (I have been there 1,5 years ago on my first day in NZ). Great exposure and good colors, sharp details. The light is a little harsh, but you handled it well. Too bad this Tiger died ... :( TFS!

SAD day indeed , this such a majestic animal , the plight of the tiger is the worst among all cats , they are being hunted to extinction due to their demand in chinese medicines. every tiger that we loose is indeed a sad loss to nature lovers.
This picture is a superb picture , beautiful exposure and colors

Hi Pam
I am truly sorry to hear about this unfortunate passing of Nisha, but thanks for sharing this lovely photo with us so we too know how he looked.
It is a great composition with stunning colours and details. The exposure was also well managed.
Great work and TFS.

PS. I hope the new tiger will settle well and give you ample opportunity to photograph him so you could share it with us.
