A very nervous Creature

Eastern Chipmunk
Tamias striatus

* Info on Eastern Chipmunk *

My first post on Trek Nature was an Eastern Chipmunk. I was very proud of him and very happy to show him to the world. His photo was taken two years ago, May 5, 2004. This one was taken last April 2, 2006.
All important things about photography, I have learned them here on TN, looking at other's photos, reading the notes, critic/comment and forum. I am still learning from all of you.
Today I am very proud of this Chipmunk too and very happy to show him to the world, not more, not less proud and happy that at the first time, but with two years of experiments, tests and errors and very few really satisfactory results. The most interesting thing in this step, it is that I learned how to know splendid creatures and how to make friends by showing them splendid creatures.
My photos speak and write better than me. My comments on your photographs are not very elaborate because of a barrier of language and I know that I am not the only one who live that. Anyway, I do the best I can, it is what really counts.

Thank you for looking.
Have a good week.

Bonjour Luc,
This is an excellent photo with a perfect composition. I have seen these creatures before, and know how nervous they are. They just can't sit still. So two thumbs up for getting it in focus in such a beautiful position.
I am learning a lot on TN as well, and your photos contribute to this curve of improvement as well. In regards of you language barrier, just wite your critique in your native language. People who care will translate it and appreciate your effort to critique their photo.

Hi Luc,
A very nice shot on this Eastern Chipmunk. The composition and framing of the shot look excellent. Colors and detail look very good. I love to watch them go about their daily life. A good way to relax and enjoy some time. You do not need to apologize for any language difficulty. You have no problem, and are very eloquent and descriptive. I do not speak or write any other language besides english, and I manage to butcher that quite often. Photography is a universal language, so that is why we all get along so well.

Hi Luc

How interesting. Earlier today I was looking at that first photo you posted of the little chipmunk with its great big eyes. Your love for nature and its magnificent inhabitants showed then as much as it shows today.

It is great to see how you have kept your enthusiasm, verve, and energy over this period. Your love of nature and your reverence of its creatures are a great inspiration and a precious example to all of us. Over this past 4 months I think I have discovered where those 3 wise men hid their treasure. I am convinced it is deep within the heart of a very special man from Montreal, Quebec.

This wonderful medium of photography is something that brings all of us so much closer together to each other and most importantly closer to nature. I just love it more and more every day. It gave me the opportunity to become part of this family on TN where I met great people of immense stature, such as yourself.

May you long still enrich our lives with your photographic mirror of nature and your soulful revelations of self? And don't worry; you express yourself far better than what you sometimes give credit to yourself.

Well done with the notes and with the photo. TFS.

Please give my regards to the great one living in Granby when you speak to him again.
Viva la amitié.
Best regards.

What a cutie pie! I love the POV. I was watching one in my backyard this evening wondering how I could capture a photo of him. You did it for me!

Bonjour Luc,
