Sepilok Orphan
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Shot of an orphan Orang-utan at the Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre just outside of Sandakan, North-East Sabah, Malaysia.
The Centre is one of only 4 in the World and was established in 1964 and covers 4000 hectares of Orang-utan forest. The Centre is professionally managed and run and has been quite successful in rehabilitating over a 100 of these unfortunately displaced animals. The Centre has many trails through the forest and you can observe the animals in their natural environment...
Well worth a visit if your in the area!
