Here's another view of the tiger at Ocean Journey in Denver, Colorado (see "Tiger Drinking" photo). Which view do you like better?(BTW, how do you do a hyperlink??)

Some Random Facts about Tigers:
* A Bengal tiger's roar can be heard up to two miles away.
* A tiger can leap up to 32 feet horizontally.
* The heaviest Siberian on record was 850 pounds.
* A tiger consumes 16 kg (35 lbs) of meat on an average night.
* A tiger makes a successful kill only once in every 10 to 20 hunts.
*Tigers LOVE water.

Ocean Journey has a very nice "rainforest" exhibit, with lots of fish, trees with moss, mist sprayers, and rainforest noises. A waterfall flows in the tiger enclosure.

PS Info: Because of the horrible glass reflections, I used dodge and burn tools, saturated, levels, USM, cropped and resized.

This is a beautiful shot of my favorite animal! The colors are stunning. Your note was quite useful also, although my program does't do all those things. He looks so impossing and powerful in this photo. I think I would crop out the upper rocks more, they seem a little unclear and it appears to distract. A lovely, amazing shot! I feel like I could reach out and pet him.

Oh, another great shot of the tiger. You really have an eye for poses and again a great shot taken through the same thick glass I believe. Same professional work in PS as the other picture - well done.

Hermosos colores, y el fondo contrasta con el vívido color de la piel del tigre. Excelente composición. Maravilloso.

I like both shots Jennifer. This one showing more of Tigger's body is good, but I like seeing his face and more of the waterfall behind too. Maybe crop more from the top of this photo. But your pp work is very good - no sign of glass at all and all is sharp and clear. Well done again.

Another very good shot.
Well done.
TFS.

Like your first shot, this is quite exceptional through glass. Again the post processing is very good. You don't mention the shutter speed, but it was obviously slow to get the 'water' effect. This makes the tiger's pose even more effective. Again POV and DoF are very good. Again I might have cut a bit off the top, but it's an excellent conribution to the TE.

It's a great shot of this majestic creature. It has a nice pose and the details shows nicely. The waterfall in the BG adds a nice touch. Very well done.

Fantastic shot. Earlier I had only seen the front-shot of this tiger (because it was on the homepage of TN that day), but this photo is fantastic aswell. Judging from the difficulties you had with the other photo of the tiger, your postprocessing qualities must be superb. Excellent pose and great POV.

Fantastic image! could be a postcard!

Makes a perfect poster for a Bollywood movie, this photo is annoyingly perfect !

Super, the first prize for You Jenny. The water and the beast are very nice. Greetings from Poland - Aga

Bravo, Jennifer, bravo! A wonderful photo - added it to my favorites at once! :)
I like the original much more than the cropped version. It really made me think, "Where was this such a close look made???", before I read your (useful) note. I agree with many, the colors and sharpness are great. The composition is absolutely beautiful too, it looks almost like a painting! Congratulations, Irina.

Fantastic shot.

Nice shot, but for me slightly overdone in postproduction.
Take care,
The Beginner
