[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took me about ten years to get this shot!!! One of the most impressive dragonflies, the Anax Imperator at close quarters... and feeding on another smaller drangonfly!!! This was at noon, not a common time to catch this hawker resting, as it happen for 3 or 4 times that day!!!! usually they fly nonstop over the pond marking the territory.

Hallo Louis,
just another interesting situation posted this day (the other was Pisaura mirabilis with off-spring). A vivid moment of life and death in nature. I like this kind of nature documents. The prey is possibly an Orthetrum species.
Excellent capture.

Hi Luis, very nice and cleare photo. Good POV and vivid colooures.

Hi Luis,
congratulation - this shot is wonderful and spectacular. So I also can see this impressive dragon, thanks - and so sharp and with brillian colours. I have been to Burma last month. There we saw thousands of dragons, also very big ones. But they never sit down, now I know why as you told me, they always fly the whole day long. But it was amazing to watch them flying. Thanks and bye
