Curious Mountain Goat
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Mountain Goat is losing his winter coat so he looks a bit shaggy, but he and his 2 companions hanging out at this roadside stop were pretty friendly. This was taken very near the Columbia Icefield in the Canadian Rockies. The Columbia Icefield is the largest icefield south of Alaska, shimmering glacial ice and snow cover some 389 sq. km. (233 sq. mi.). |

look out!crossing goat :D
good shot, nice details and good colours and composition.
well done!
Beautiful clear shot, too bad we don't have these in the Columbia Gorge any longer. This shot reminded me of our trips up the gorge as kids looking at the cliffs for these goats. His shaggy coat just adds to his charm. I know its a road, but I think I'd clone out the "yellow" lines they're kind of distracting, but then you know me I'm easily distracted! ;-)

OK there is a road in the BG, but then again I have never seen one of these shaggy creatures, so thank for posting this. The sharpness is good and I like the interest he shows in you.
May you and your family have a wonderful and prosperous new year.

To me, these are the typical billy goats, I'm sure the one who sortedout the troll on the bridge. I like the shaggy coat, well depicted, Julie!
Best for 2005 as well! And thanks for the invite - you have No idea how much I would like to visit the USA! But, aslas . . . a son in the UK and the African bush round the corner, one life is SO short!
