I like moths a lot, unfortunately i've noticed them recently! There are so colourful and very interesting species on that class. This one is a perfect example what i mentioned! It's really strange looking cause of the metallic colours on it. Strange but so beautiful also! pov is great with that exact vertical position of the moth! and i love the presantation you chose here! to me, this is a very interesting framing that worked perfectly! bg is incridible that like a watercolor! Everything in the frame are just perfect!

Très belle image que nous présente ici. La composition simple et efficace met bien en valeur ton sujet. La netteté et l'exposition sont très bien réussies. La douce lumière et les couleurs pastelles charment le regard. Le flou de l'arrière plan est divin. Et le cadrage sobre est parfait.

Une très belle réussite qui mérite amplement un grand sourire vert foncé ;o).

I really like yor choice of composition and framing on this shot. Great job with the isolation and seperation from the backround. Excellent exposure has rendered some beautiful colors. Detail is sharp, and the shallow DOF was perfect here.

I share your experience of "seeing" things after taking to photography, Valerie.
This moth is really very small (1 cm, your note says), but you have taken a brilliant macro of it.

Lovely shot! I like the simple composition and portrait framing a lot! Details are very good and colours very natural.
These fellows are very common in my neighbourhood. They like violet and pink flowers. Maybe you will have ocassion to see more of them soon.

Hi Valerie,
Excellent shot, great detail on the Moth and beautiful colours. I think that this works very well because only the Moth and the flower it sits on are in the immediate foreground, everything else is defocused by the shallow DOF. Nicely framed and interesting note, great work.

Hi Valerie, I love the composition on this shot., the way you have isolated the moth and the OOF background. The blue of the moth goes really well with the green tones of the grass. The details and lighting are also excellent, giving a very summery feel to it. Very well done and TFS.

Hi Valérie,

I have never seen moth in blue before and this one is so beautiful. I like the simplicity of the perch on that tiny plant and you have muted the background so well making it pleasant to see. Very sharp focus and well managed exposure.
