Well done on this moment. You managed the shot perfectly.
A bit to bright for me, but that is always question of personal taste. The texture on the leave adds a lot to the photo.
TFS, Felipe.

Hi Peter,
Recently I myself took a shot of two identical bugs [same ritual], but my shot is nowhere as good as yours. Your colours are very vivid and lighting is spot-on. Detail is outstanding and contrast excellent.
Very good shot indeed!

Hi Peter,
A very detail macro with all the scene in focus, great color, good composition and an excelent background. I agree with Felipe respect to the strong sun reflection, but it's ok in this way.
TFS, José M.

Wow! This is excellent Peter the colors and details are amazingly perfect, I would have to agree with everyone that the reflection of OE white is a slight distraction but otherwise a very nice photo. :)

Hi Peter!
You catched good moment. True bugs are always very shy so congratulations for this shot. Detailed and sharp, as Felipa said maybe slightly to bright on bugs' armours but I know how hard is to make good exposure in full sun. I like green tones of your picture also. Very good post.

Hi Peter
Last night I tried to critique your 'Bug Love', but it was not to be as I lost my service provider and it took more than 24 hours before I could successfully log on again. Talking about pulling your hair out of your head...
Anyway, I'm back and I must applaud you on this posting. What is bug love? Could it be described as, "Lust & tenderness between consenting insects". Very well seen and captured. It is an excellent macro, tack sharp with every bit of detail visible, very well presented in a lovely composition with strong vivid colours, and the exposure was perfectly managed especially considering those shiny surfaces of the bugs.
Great work and TFS.
Regards
Loot

PS. Something I found on the Internet that fits your posting very well.

Touched by the Love Bug, a poem by Hazel Eyes.

Oh it has happened
I don't know when,
But I think I've been touched.
By the love bug again.

I feel alive and warm inside
to know that you exist.
I feel your presence,
your touch and your kiss.

The love bug is a good thing
For me and for you.
So when you get touched
Remember it is true.

You don't know when the love bug will strike.
It might be in the day or late at night.
So when the love bug comes, answer the call.
Remember the love bug has love for us all
.

Hi Peter, dear friend.
I am happy that I have observed your gallery and found this macro masterpiece. Simply amazing close-up with fantastic quality . Sunlight, colours are simply vibrant and DOF is the best. Details of the beetles and leaf are tremendous. And composition of the shot is as from textbook on composition. Thanks for this stunning work. My kind wishes.
Alexei.
