Very nice pose. Yes the photo is a bit soft but even with the harsh sunlight the shot is exposed really well. I like the face in the water and the reflection. Reminds me of watching those african nature shows when the Crocadile grabs the animal from the side of the water hole. Very cool shot here.

Hello Anton,
interesting shot, I don't think I ever seen such an bird. Would be great seeing the full face of the bird, yet this is a wonderful pose. The reflection on the water adds a lot of interest.. POV, colors and exposure are very nice.

Hello Anton
A very interesting capture of this bird called a 'kwêvoël' in Afrikaans. I like the POV, the reflections in the water, and the little catch light in the eye.
The composition is great and the colours are very natural. Unfortunately the details are a little soft though. I cannot seem to pinpoint the cause for this as the DOF should have been more than sufficient at f/10 and the shutter speed should have been quite enough to eliminate camera shake. However, that was probably the cause for the problem since I cannot see a specific plane of focus on the photo so, it was not a case of focusing on the wrong spot. This was presumably aggravated by an extended focal length on the lens. The exposure was well handled though.
Anyway, good work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
