Male Ibex the wild goat of en gadi in the Judean Desert.Inhabit roke cliffs, is the king of the desert crage. Males may weigh up to 60 kg and females to 30 kg.the male ibexes fight for their status in the herd and the right to mate with the females. The desert ibex could not always be observed. In the past they were hunted almost to the point of extinction and only thanks to the protection afforded them by the preserve can they be seen today. The male herd is separate from the females and kids and they only come together in the rutting season. Their color blends with the colors of the desert and they are difficult to distinguish from a distance. They spend the nights high up on the cliffs, coming down in the morning to the river beds, with each female leading her kid between the bluffs.

Very clear detailed shot. I might be tempted to smooth off the background using layers and Neat Image.

Beautiful shot Eyal. Excellent DOF and pose.
Great post

I like the tone of this picture. The dark edge of the body makes the contrast with the background. Very good composition and note too.

The sharpness and composition is great here. I also agree with Miles about using NI on the BG.

Very well done and thanks for posting

Eyal, excelent capture of the Ibex. Correct me if I'm wrong, the horns were used in the making of the shophar.?
Well done

Good shot, the contrast of this extense brown palette defines a very detailed subject. The horns are impressive. Maybe some postprocess on the BG would give more impact to this beautiful composition. Thanks.

Firstly, please allow me to wish you all the best for 2005, Eyal. I have been away for a while and missed some of your shots, I have a weeks vacation left and might drop off the radar again.

This Ibex shot is exceptional. How close were you? The details are outstanding as is the pose. Well done.

Very good Eyal.
It's a bit noise in the BG but not disturbing.
I like the colour tone , it's very nice.
Good details and pose.
Great work.

Stunning shot, great pose, great details, it's just a bit noisy...
Well done.

Very nice capture of this Ibex Ram/Billy, I supose if one was to try very hard to pick a nit, it would be to wish for more space infront of his face. other wise spot on TFS
