Photo taken using Plus 4 Dioptre close up lens at a distance of about 10cm from the beetle. The insect has no wings inside its shell, the space is used to condence moisture into water for drinking in the dry desert. The temperature in the Namib Naukluft region where this picture was taken reached up to 120 deg F during the day and the humuidity about 10%. |

I love the colors and the lighting, but the focus is too soft...at least on my monitor.
Now I know wat kind of "bug" I shot when i was there too... I seems that we are both into puting our namibia shots here. I agree it's a wonderful country, the vasteness of it gets to you.
