Great shot! You've captured this puffin beautifully, I particularly like the way his beak is stuffed full of sand eels :) Pose is nice, and the focus is spot on. I suspect there is a little more fine detail in the original though - at first I thought it might be a sharpening issue, but it looks like it's actually a JPEG compression problem - if you used more of your 200kb limit I think it would look even better. I think playing with Curves might pay dividends too. Very well captured :D

P.S. Please consider writing a few more critiques - for TN to continue to be a success we need participation, not just posting images, but critiquing them too... It's obvious that you're a good photographer, so why not share some of your knowledge!

Hi Tommy,
I was at the Farnes on Friday and saw two people with 600s, does yours have camouflage tape on it or just plain black? Great shot, lovely detail and colours and nicely isolated against the sea rather than the rocks.
