We arrived at the last photo of Johnny, the ovenbird (Furnarius rufus). While it took sun and lie against the cornice, it opened the tail feathers and wing so the sun caressed its body with cold, perhaps had a little water in its plumage, because minutes before it jumped and it played in a pool that had formed in a stonecutter of my garden, while I watered the plants. In this position it seems to be saluting.
It made this pose several times until another ovenbird came and began to fight, and soon fly.
I had luck when taking these photos, my pics on this species are not of my affability, and when I saw settle in a branch, looks very well and close, but at the right moment it fought with another bird and it flew to the cornice, where it showed its peculiar behavior.

Hello Hernan,

Nice picture describing this odd behavior! You're right, it looks as it was saluting us! I like the rust environment surrounding the rusty bird! Colors looks natural and you got a good pov! Interesting note too! TFS, Hernan!

Hi Hernan
As promised I'm back. So, this is Johnny's final swan song. And with a wave of the wing he disappeared off the stage. Just like a real rock star.
This was a very interesting mini series you had posted showing some rather peculiar behaviour of this cute little bird.
The composition, colours, details, and exposure are similar to all the previous episodes and the same comments would apply here.
So, sufficient to say you did a great job and TFS.

Me gusto mucho comprobar lo extraño del comportamiento de esta ave, "acostandose" a tomar el sol mientras lo espiabas con tu camara. La verdad es que coincido con algun miembro de TN, si no me contaras lo que esta ocurriendo, hubiera pensado que estaba enfermo o que le pasaba algo.

I'm glad this little bird was ok and just behaving strangely! It's been nice to follow this series of pictures, a nice lesson from another part of the world. Congratulations on getting so close without disturbing him and thanks for sharing with us all!
