Hi Christopher,

To my mind there is a bit too much going on in this photo. The background is quite distracting. In particular the pigeons' heads blend into the boats behind and therefore don't stand out enough. If you were taking this photo again, you might try finding a slightly different viewpoint that placed the green trees behind the pigeons. This would offer better contrast and help the subject stand out.
