[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Whitewinged Korhaan is smallish to medium in size. The male is very noisy and conspicuous, males have a loud harsh crowing kraaak, kraaak, falling in volume towards end. The female is very inconspicuous and secretive and answers male with soft hoarse whee in courtship.

Its bill is orange-red to coral red, tip greyish; legs and feet yellow.

It is a very common resident in arid to semi-arid western South Africa, Free State, most of Botswana, and Namibia.

Other than th e sounds it makes ...lol ... this is an amazing bird, looks like giant pheasant or a subspecie of peacock but Im probably not even close!

I really like the portrait of this unusual and interesting bird.
Great expression of curiosity. Sharp details and beautiful colors and patterns on the feathers. Nice BG ciolors to isolate the subject.
