la nature nous offre de bien belles choses... merci.

Hi Alex,

Nice shot. Good eye. Good POV as well. The only thing i would say is that the subject is too centered and makes the picture lack originality.
I posted a workshop.
Best regards.

Hello Alexei,
I really like this composition, with the flowers sticking out around the snail. The title and the picture are kind of funny. The colors are very pleasing. TFS. : )

Hello Alexei,
Wonderful close up.Well seen and composed.POV,lighting, details, simple BG and 3D effect are excellent.

this is a great shot, alexei! :-)
together with the title it really made me smile.
excellent composition and pov,
although i would have not centered the snail so much,
nice strong colors and great details - were the dried flowers
attached to the snail or the snail sticking to them?
well done & take care, thorsten.

Hy Alexei!
Interesting catch of this snail! On first look I thought this flower belongs to a snail ;)
Nice collours, detail and sharpnes!
Well done!

Hello Alex!
Very good shot of this little snail you found being parked in the right spot. As far as the accusations of wrong composition I wouldn't make such a big issue out of it. Good POV, right exposure allowing to see details in the white parts of the shell, nice blurry background. Well done. Regards,

Hello Alexei,
Sharply focused on the shell with details clearly seen. Composition and exposure are spot on. A fine picture to appreciate. Congratulations.

Preciosa macro Alex. Bella composición y presentación.
No la había visto antes.
Un saludo y mis mejores deseos para este próximo 2007 y un abrazo, con mis más sinceras gracias.

Alexei, this one had me fooled! I wondered what was hanging out of that snail! Nice macro, and I like your compo. I would perhaps crop 1/2 inch from th etop... but would not change the angle. Tfs, J.

selam my friend
wonderful close-up working on this interesting mollusc
composition, point of view, bluured background, depth of field, lighting, colours, sharpness, details and note are great
thanks for sharing

Never seen a snail that "adorned" itself; but, I've seen a crab do this. It carries its house< Camouflage> with it where ever it travels within the sea.
Thanks for sharing, also, your highly educative notes.
Your buddy from Canada,

Beautiful shot! very interesting pattern and good colours.

Hi Alexei,
Wow....a wonderful image of this snail doing what it knows best. Immaculate sharpness and sharp details on its shell and I like the way it is climbing that slender stalk. Superb lighting and exposure levels. Excellent DOF, POV and composition. Kudos.

Hello Alexei,

A fine presentation of this special fellow!
Practical to carry the house around, hehehe...
A fine close-up with good details, the accurate DoF isolates the subject well and helps focusing on the important element!
