All that habitually see my photos, know that use, by lack of elements, some strange lenses like a magnifying glass in front of the objective of my old Zenith, but in these days I bought small digital camera and my lens Helios 58 mm accidentally finished being damaged and I decided to use it like macro putting it in front of the lens of the digital camera. This he is one of my first satisfactory results.
But today was cloudy and at sunset, the automatic working and having the heavy objective with the hand, one took control very difficult to do good center seeing only the color screen ; that made lose a little clearness.
I hope to improve my new "macro" and that you like.

The data on this species I took them partly from the note of Ricardo Palonsky (RAP) of Argentina, I must be thankful to him, although for a long time has not been participating in TN.

Pure Augochlora
Family: Halictidae
vulgar names: Green Metallic Bee (English)

It measures about 15 mm approximately.

Also I dedicate to Loot Eksteen by its constant support and useful advice to me.
What do you think of this, friend?

No lleva macro incorporado?

This is an amazing result! I like it very much. The bee is so close. The contrast of the color is very nice. Good photo, thanks for sharing!

Claudine

a little ingenuity goes a long way.
Ejoyed it

Hi Hernan
Ha-ha-ha, this is great my friend. I told you the other day that I am sure it will not be long before you start marrying your old lenses with the new compact Kodak and optimise it for better macro photography. Your ingenious (or is it extraordinary) make-do approach with whatever you have available is just an amazing example and inspiration you impressed upon me. The best part is that you really make it work and this result is proof that one does not necessarily have to have expensive equipment to take good photos. You just need a good photographer with a will to succeed and presto, the proof is in the pudding.
For your first attempt with this combination this photo came out rather well. I am sure in weeks and months to come we will still see a rapid and enormous improvement in your usage of this setup. The main thing is still the improvement in colour compared with the scanned material from the past. The composition is great, the details are superb (you just need to work on a way now to improve on the DOF), the OOF parts of the flower forms an amazing BG, and the exposure was spot-on.
This one surely deserves this big smiley, not just for the photo, but also for the initiative, creativity, and persistence you have revealed.
Very well done my friend and TFS.
Happy regards
Loot

Hi Hernan,
I love the combinations of equipment you use to get these shots, I don't think many people would think of it or be able to produce such excellent results as you do. This is an excellent shot, the quality is wonderful. Great detail and beautiful colours. As Loot says, a good photographer and a will to succeed and you've proved that here my friend.

I think this one is better then the next one you've posted, just because I like the composition of this one more. I think the other shows the 'metallic' green of the Bee much better though.

A beautiful shot and congratulations for showing us all some real skill and ingenuity.
Have a great weekend
Adrian

Composition: ****
Sharpness: ****
Color: ****
DOF: ***
POV: ****
Note: ***

saludos
CARLOS

Nice photo. Very good composition and the color of the flower accents the bee very well. I think you could run a little more sharping to the image. Very nice.

Hallo Hernan
Although this is one of your older postings, I think this is an excellent capture, with sharp focus and detail. The bee's metallic colours stands out well and the features of the insect is first-class.The fine pollen dust on the flower adds a special touch to this fine image. Thanks for sharing.
Regards
Anna
