I didnīt know the name of this flower when I shoot it. I just found it walking around on the countryside. Thanks to Snaphappy, Scottevers7 and Aramok now I have the name. I couldnīt did better work on BG with my snapshot, sorry.

It is some sort of thistle, and in this photo it looks nice and spikey. I think the background could be better composed but the flower is perfect. By taking the same shot in different positions lower, higher in this case you may have found a less distracting one.

I agree it is some varation of a thistle plant. Beautiful flowers, but do not bump into the plant. OUCH! Beautiful colors and sharp detail. Looks great!

great shot there - you have finally posted it. the details on the flower (spear thistle) are excellent, but the sky is Overexposed which is a shame.


Great Zeca, beautiful flower. I loved the purple-dark rose colour among all that green and spines. Nice POV as always. Great hugs..
