[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Grebe

This lucky grebe just got himself a pike for dinner.

This is a double treat, as pikes are the biggest threat to grebes' chicken, which has just been hatched.

Hi Dan,

Hi Dan,
Great timing to capture this, as Zeno says a great combination to capture. Nicely framed, great colours. I think it needs a little sharpen but nothing serious. Lovely shot! Your note is useful as I didn't know about the problems between Pike and Grebe, but it's too short so there are no useful/neutral buttons.
Cheers,
Adrian

Talk about being at thr right place at the right time. It makes the investment in camera gear well worth it.

Hi Dan

Maybe not the best technically, but great timing. Well done!

Excellent timing Dan! A bit of noise in the background, but with such a scene, who cares! Excellent colours. A bit soft (guess due to the 1,4x, or maybe camera shake that may become an issue at the long end of the lense at 1/800 sec; I tend to use at least 1/1000 plus monopod at the long end when I use a teleconverter i.e. move into the 500mm+ range (taking into account the crop factor that's about 750mm+ really). Then again, with the great IS feature of your lense that may not be an issue, no idea.
Great capture!
Regards,
Gabi
