[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A second shot of Statlu Lake, this time from the rocky shoreline. There's very little in the way of flat areas just off the lake, as mountains rise sharply from the lake itself all around. Even the campground where the lake drains doesn't have a whole lot of space, and a high waterfall forms shortly after the river leaves the lake.
Those pesky over-exposed clouds are still in the photo here, but this time I cropped it on top and on the right.

preciosa panorámica, un paisaje lleno de luz y color... muy bella composición, saludos

that is wonderful..and true nature..no people and looking quite unsurpassible for them.
the real wilds

This is gorgeous ,Tim. Having the rocks in the foreground and the mountain in the opposite corner makes it feel very balanced. I love color of the water and the way the lake draws us back to the mountains. Have you a neutral density filter...especially a graduated one ( 2 stop) It has saved me from a lot of OE clouds.

On my computer your image looks more natural than Geof's workshop. That could be my monitor though.

Thanks for sharing

A gorgeous shot Tim!
The colours are wonderful, especially the water and the rocks below.
Nice and sharp. Composition is great with the mountains in the background and the lake curving around the corner.
Another pretty spot.

Hello Tim, this is just absolutely beautiful WOW.... I love everything about this like the colours and forms in the water. Those snow-capped mountains make for the perfect backdrop. You know Canada has the most amazing scenery, a must visit place for me. Possibly next year all being well. VERY GOOD WORK.

Hi Tim

This place looks so refreshing.Beautiful deep rich colours,a placid lake,A wonderful composition that gets the imagination going.A very fine photo.TFS

Hi Tim,
What a super photo. The rock in the GF give great depth to this photo and is a great leadline. You composition makes me wonder what I can expect around the corner. The colors in the water, trees and mountains are spot on. A pitty that the snow and clouds are OE-ed. The ND grad filter Evelynn mentioned would help but I think by closing the CP a tad more the exposure on the clouds and snow would be good too. What also seems to help is to focus on the mid tone colors. This way the exposure will be good in both the darker and lighter areas.

Anyway, a very stunning view.
