[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On an evening in Tunhovd, Norway, we saw a very special sunset.
The sky was lightened with very clear golden coloured stripes.
In the distance, a huge black cloud cover was coming up and at a certain moment this shower was covering the brightest part of the setting sun.
I used my 80-200mm together with a monopod to capture the most important part of the sky.

Hi Ruud,
Very interesting and nice moment, has very good colors and clouds in center band. The whole composition looks like a bit a flag in thumbnail. A unique vision.

hernán

Out of smilies for the day back tomorrow

Dag Ruud,
prachtig moment en prachtige foto!!! Werkelijk waar!
Groetjes, Geert.

Hello Ruud,
Some times a situation like this occur, but seldon lasts for long... You were lucky to be there with your camera!
Great colours and fine details captured... Interesting to see how the clouds appear in several layers!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hoi Ruud,
Het lijkt wel of we in de zelfde bui zaten en nu de zelfde bui hebben. De kleuren tussen de storm en land zijn gewoon super.
Groeten,
Niek

a fleeting moment is what photography is all about and you have caught this one well.

Don't be afraid to crop you photos so that they are not as high as they are and try to think a little more about the thirds run.
I find the grey cloud taking up a lot of the top half of the sky a little overpowering and IMO if your rain was more to the right (in the picture) you woud have had a much better composition. Just a thought. I still like the picture, I just am thinking out loud here...

Hao Ruud,
Een regen bui die juist voorbij de zon trekt , dat ziet er wel erg speciaal uit! De mooie lichte randen rond de wolken in het midden deel vindt ik ook leuk.
Goed gezien en goed gedaan.
Bedankt voor het delen.

Hello Ruud,
I like this layered composition. Nice dark and gloomy mood.
Best greetings,
Michal

Hi Ruud!
I feel I will often visit your pictures! I like this one very much because it also remembers me an evening on the Sognefjell route with a very impressive sunset. Yours is absolutely great, and I imagine how difficult it was to find the right exposure and to do the best postprocessing. Would be interesting to know what you did.

Best regards
Markus
