Jungle cat (Felis chaus)This is a large,
long-legged cat (12 kg) with a madium long tail. in Israel it occurs in thickets, mainly near water, mostly along the Coastal Plain and the Jordan Valley and in oases along the Dead Sea.Their populations are vary common by fish ponds.This species are often seen in pairs with young.It feeds on fish, rodents and birds, but also on snakes |
