After our week of relaxing at our Guesthouse near Augusta, we travel up north to our cabin near East Glacier Park. On one of our first days of exploring the area we drove the senic route Chief Looking Glass Road and stoped at a few parking spots to enjoy the view on the Lower Two Medicine Lake. I believe the peaks you see here are from left to right: The Head, Rising Wolf Mountain and Spot mountain.

This the start of my series of Glacier National Park. The following is some information on the park:

Glacier preserves over 1,000,000 acres of forests, alpine meadows, and lakes. Its diverse habitats are home to over 70 species of mammals and over 260 species of birds. The spectacular glaciated landscape is a hikers paradise containing 700 miles of maintained trails that lead deep into one of the largest intact ecosystems in the lower 48 states.
The park contains over 350 structures listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and six National Historic Landmarks.

Due to the size I had to down grade the quality a lot. I hope it still looks OK

Another wonderful landscape. You show great depth from the detail in the FG all the way to the mountain range and the sky in the BG. Nice shot.

Hi Niek,
A lovely shot, excellent detail and so much to look at. Beautiful light and colours and great cloud formations, a very tranquil image. Even at 18mm it gives us an idea of the expanse of wilderness there. Great shot and note.
Regards,
Adrian

I think one of my very first posts on TN was of Upper Two Medicine Lake. Do you know what is odd? If I drag your image onto my computer it is much more saturated and sharp than it looks on the TN page. It is probably more what the image looked like on your computer before uploading. It is kind of frustrating. I keep trying to adjust mine so they will look ok on TN and it is a real balancing act. I have to make them oversaturated before I upload & sometimes it is too much and sometimes not enough. The colors and sharpness seem to be fine on your TL Rodeo series. I don't get it.

This is a nice shot of a grand vista. The first time we went there the forest fires were so bad we were turned around before the park and couldn't have seen anythng if we had gotten there. The second visit it rained every day and we saw no blue sky. The third trip was beautiful. It looks like everything worked in your favor. I'm glad.

Another beauty. Colours are balance and pops out very well. I also like the effect that the clouds gives. Good use of the filter.

Lovely mountain landscape!
The scenery is so peaceful with the lake resting in the midst of the virgin forest...
Good foreground interest and a pleasant feeling of depth!

Great landscape. wonderful colours and light. I love the composition, lovely feeling of space. Nice sky too

Superb landscape.

Hoi Niek,
Het lijkt wel een schilderij. Wat een mooie zachte kleurstelling. De compositie doet het hier ook erg goed, mooi standpunt.
Groet, Ruud

Beautiful composed landscape shot. Great colours, light, sharpnes, details, DOF and POV.
Well done mf

Great subject and well recorded, Niek. I like this lake and you've done it justice. I agree with Evelynn, though, that I'd like to see a bit more contrast, even if it's only in the sky. (I like a big effect from my polarizer).
Mike

Niek,
TFS. This is an amazingly grand photo.
Well composed and clear, sharply focused.
Looks like you are a "professional."
Best regards,
