[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Small Slice peak - in Bulgarian: Malak Rezen. It is approximately 2100 meters high and is the third highest on Vitosha Mount. Vitosha is a nonerupted volcano with massive sienite rock core which surface have eroded under the glaciers into these moraine stones that you see around and the spruce pines climbing over them. Obviously the morains haven't moved for a long time being covered with mosses and lichens.

As you may suspect, I was lazy to climb among the morains, having my 12x zoom...

This image has some nice angled lines and shapes but it feels very busy to me. There is a lot of busy texture and most of the image is made up of mid value tones. Changing the point of view may have helped. Maybe if you had gotten lower and had just a few large rocks in the foreground the image would feel more anchored. Some brighter color and sharpness in the trees might help too. I don't understand the grayness behind the trees. When faced with a busy scene like this I wonder if it might be best to simplify the composition as much as possible.

Hi Anton,
Nicely capturing this scenic landscape;
Sharp, nice details;
Superb shot.

Hi Anton,
I really don't know what to say to this one... Two large piles of rocks or what..!
I guess it will take nature some time to win back this terrain and cover the area with trees...
Interesting image telling a story!
