[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Although this are very young specimens, and the size is really small, I find slime moulds very interesting and like to include them into my gallery. When I was trying to get the photos, several small wasps kept on bothering me, so I decided to finish as soon as posible. I felt I was getting near a wasp nest and that is dangerous, specially if you dont know where it is. Forgive me if the quality is not my best.

Lycogala epidendrum (Linnaeus) Fries

Common Name: Wolf's udder, Wolf's milk, Slime moulds

Fruiting body 0.5-1.5 cm broad, globose, frequently accreted with other nearby fruiting bodies; color pink, becoming red to red-black, gray-black at age of maturity; surface velvety; flesh slimy, red coloured, transforming to gray spores powder at maturity.

Spores gray.

Habitat: Scattered to gregarious on rotten woods; fruiting from August to September.

Edibility: Inedible.

Hi Felipe!

Back to roots ;-) Fungi, slime moulds, lichens, mosses... best of microforest. Great presentation my friend, very interesting mosaic of pictures. Perfect composition and quality. Wolf's milk sounds slightly weird to me ;-)

Hola Felipe,
Muy bonitas estas diminutas setas y muy bien presentadas en esa tabla vieja y con escala incluida.
Un saludo, José M.

Hi Felipe!
I knew Greg would like your slime moulds. They look very much like oranges, but are so tiny. It is handy to have the ruler next to them. To me the quality is great - much beter than mine could ever be! Great shots, thank you - all very interesting, tfs

Excellent presentation Felipe.
Outstanding details seen in these very small spores. Great note explaining what I'm looking at as well..
The rule for scale is a great touch :)
Very well done.

You a beautiful and very interesting collage for these nice little mushrooms. They are like "bonbons" for children ;-) Two years ago I saw this species here. Congratulations Felipe and TFS.

Very interesting and "scientific" collage beautifully presented! Sharp enough and nice colours.

Ricardo

I must have missed this one - this is great I like the way you have covered every view of this slime mould along with the scale in this set. Great colours and shapes - they look very attractive. I wouldn't mess with a wasp nest either.
