Gold-green Sweat Bee on Dandelion Flower

Almost 2 years ago, I published the image of a tiny bee (this specimen it doesn't surpass the 10mm.), with really attractive colors.
It is denominated Green Sweat Bee or Gold-green Sweat Bee for the colors that are appreciated in their abdomen.

Here you can to see before flying from a flower of the Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

These bees belong to the family Halictidae.

I hope you like it J

Halictidae is a cosmopolitan family of the order Hymenoptera consisting of small to midsize bees which are usually dark-colored and often metallic in appearance. Several species are all or partly green and a few are red; a number of them have yellow markings, especially the males, which commonly possess yellow faces, a pattern widespread among the various families of bees. They are commonly referred to as sweat bees (especially the smaller species), as they are often attracted to perspiration; when pinched, females can give a minor sting.

Most halictids nest in the ground, though a few nest in wood, and they mass-provision their young (a mass of pollen and nectar is formed inside a waterproof cell, an egg laid upon it, and the cell is sealed off, so the larva is given all of its food at one time, as opposed to "progressive provisioning", which is where a larva is fed repeatedly as it grows, as in honeybees). All species are pollen feeders and may be important pollinators.

Many species in the subfamily Halictinae are eusocial at least in part, with fairly well-defined queen and worker castes (though not the same as the caste system in honeybees), and certain manifestations of their social behavior appear to be facultative in various lineages.
Species in the genus Sphecodes are somewhat wasp-like in appearance and live as cleptoparasites of other bees, including other halictids; the female Sphecodes enters the cell with the provision mass, eats the host egg, and lays an egg of her own in its place. Only a few other genera and species of halictids are parasitic.

Hi Ricardo.
You have done a perfect one again my friend. I like the details of fly and the flower. They are very crisp, clean and sharp. Very useful note like that you have done it always.
TFS. With my best wishes and regards. Greetings.

Hi Ricardo,
An excellent macro. Beautiful rich color saturation and sharp detail. Amazing DOF for f5.0. I think the overall composition and framing is excellent. Great informative notes too.

Hi Ricardo,
Interesting picture, the color yellow of the flower and the colors of bee makes the bee stand out. i like the composition though i feel you should have traded off your 1/1000 sec TV to a higher F-value for a better DOF

Hi Ricardo,

Saludo, Arnaud.

Hola Ricardo.- Muy bella foto tenemos aqui.

Hi Ricardo,
I am glad you also mentioned the name of the flower, because it gives me a better idea of the size of the bee. I've never seen this kind before and I am intrigued by its colors. The lighting, colors and details are superb.

Hi Ricardo.
Your pictures force me to regret, that I am very busy and I can not participate in discussion of each of them.

Your next macro shot is excellent. Yellow colours are amazing, BG of the shot, its blurriness and colour palette are superb too. Details of the flower and insect don't demand any comments. Perfect job and my compliments.

Excellent photo of Gold-green Sweat Bee on the Dandelion Flower, Ricardo. I love her colours, the green is quite vibrant. And the dandelion... nice and sharp, good composition, and nicely shown, thank you.

Hello Ricardo,
These little fellows always look nice on pictures. They are really interesting. What I like about that photo is the composition and colours. You've captred the bee in a very nice pose too.

Wonderful macro Ricardo,
The details on both the flower and the fly are superb. The bright green looks awesome. Great composition, good sharp detail and well framed.
Good informative notes to accompany this excellent image.
Thanks for posting, have a great weekend.

You always translate your critiques into English, so to return the favour, I will attempt a spanish translation for you!!

Hi Ricardo,
Top capture. The colour in this image is what really makes it for me. Strong and bold limited primarily to just green and yellow...simplified nicely. Composition and sharpness are very good for this tricky type of photography.

Hola Ricardo,

Hello Ricardo!
Another great shot from you ! This is really a gorgeous bee, I have never seen it before. I love its beautiful metallic colors very much. The composition and POV are splendid, the colors are wonderful, so bright and vivid, amd the details are excellent. Very well done !

Hello Ricardo!
At the first look one might think it's a compositional error: the bee is walking out of the image. But I think it's absolutely correct since the picture shows also the beauty of the dandelion flower. I also like the POV, sharpness and, obviously, the colors very much. Muy buen trabajo! Congratulations,

I like the way the bee standing on the edge of the flower and looking down into the vast void. The focus and exposure on the insect are perfect, catching lovely details and iridescent colors. I also like the interesting and colorful squiggles that are the stamens of the flower.

Hi Ricardo,
brilliant capture! Wonderful light here. Tiny details and the iridescent colours of that colourful little bee come out perfectly in natural sunlight. Together with the equally well focussed and exposed dandelion in front of a perfectly soft dark background this is a very appealing scene of natural environment - well composed in great beauty. The insect and the main parts of the flower precisely on focus, the shallow depth of field is very well managed here to achieve a soft neutral background. Complete and very well prepared notes, as always from you. Thank you!
Best regards,

Beautiful picture. nice composition.the flower is shot in full details and looks heavenly. The floroscent green and brown colour of the insect makes the picture appealing. nice shot with good clarity. one of the best pictures of a flower with insect.

Actually, the flower and bee share equal billing here. And together they make it much greater than their two parts :)
