Third species of sandgrouse spotted in Namibia, during my august trip.
This is a couple: female at left, male at right.
The specie is:

Burchell's Sandgrouse
(pterocles burcelli)

Near endemic resident of the souther-african region.
Male has grey face, female has yellow.

More general infos about sandgrouse, sourced from the web:

The Sandgrouse are a unique set of birds found only in Africa and Eurasia. The relationship of these birds to other groups has been one of the most hotly debated issues over a period of centuries. They are primarily ground-feeding birds of deserts, scrub, and grasslands, recalling small long-winged grouse -- indeed, Linnaeus originally assigned them to the same genus as European grouse. All of them do have feathered tarsi.
But sandgrouse share several attributes of pigeons, including their long wings and the practice of making long flights daily between breeding or feeding grounds, and pools of water at which they drink. But they have their own distinctive order, the "Pteroclomorphae." Over time, however, the idea they were related to grouse at all was slowly dropped and by the mid-20th century many placed them as a suborder among the pigeons.

Very sharp photo. What was the distance I would like to know?

Hi Andrea,
A nice shot on this pair of Sandgrouse. Very bright light, but you handled the exposure well. The colors and detail look great. Watched a show on Namibi last night. What an amazing place.

Hi Andrea,
Excellent shot. Composition, sharpness, exposure are all perfect. The sand here is very fine like powder. TFS.

Hello Andrea,
Once again you have made a great job of this shot in what must have been difficult lighting.
I also like the composition.
TFS, regards, Ivan

jojo

ottima inquadratura dove tutti gli elementi (anche le ombre) sono valorizzate.

Andrea, I like the markings in your photo, as well as the "pose" of this pair.

Can you help me ID my bird?
