[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Gray Pansy, Junonia atlites, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South Asia.

These are typically fairly large butterflies, such as the emperor, admirals, tortoiseshells and fritillaries, which have very colourful wings. However, the underwings are dull and often look like dead leaves, or are much paler, which produces a cryptic effect that helps the butterfly disappear in its surroundings.

The front two legs are small, so these butterflies are effectively four-legged. The caterpillars are hairy or spiky, and the chrysalids have shiny spots.

Hallo Biswarup,
a clear and sharp presentation of
-- Junonia atlites
-- family: Nymphalidae.
Colours appear very natural. Nice composition.

Saludos... Ricardo

Nice macro Biswarup with very good sharpness, intense but natural colors and appropriate DOF and bottom.
I have realized out a Workshop rotating 90 the image and applying Neat Image to reduce slightly the bottom noise.
I hope you like it.
Greetings... Ricardo

Hello Biswarup,
Superbly sharp shot of this nymphalid butterfly and unusual angle with nice contrast of the green BG.
