[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On the pleasent morning of Dassera, i was taking snaps of flowers in my home's backyard.The sky was a bit cloudy.....after sometime clouds were cleared and sunlight broke out.....and came this butterfly.....
i tried to search the genera of this one but could not succeed..can any body help me in this?...........

Hello Mahesh,
This is a fine clear shot of a nymphalid butterfly of the genus Neptis. There are several members of this genus and they are so similar that they are difficult to tell apart, but I think this is Neptis mahendra.
I thought I might improve your shot in the WS. I hope you don't mind

This is a very pretty species you have captured, Mahesh. Sharpening creates those squiggly spots of noise around the edges sometimes but that is a minor problem.
Well done and keep shooting.

Unfortunatelly I can't help you with the identification...
The specie is similiar to the European Neptis species.
I think it could be the same family.
