In the background there's something strange going on. Can't be noise with ISO 100. Probabbly it is due to the focal length and the big aperture. And this in combination with the harsh sunlight on the grassland. It is special.
Wonderful depicted bird.

I think it is time you become a resident somewhere in Africa as collectively you have posted more photos originating from this continent than photos from your own home country. You are fast becoming a great ambassador for Africa here on TN.
Your posting of this korhaan is telling of your obvious immense love of our indigenous fauna & flora. The composition is excellent with just the right measure of cropping to give this bird sufficient space to move about. The colours are great showing lovely tones on this late afternoon shot, the details are sharp, and the exposure was well managed considering the fact that you had to deal with Namibia's harsh sunlight.

Despite the noisy BG, I think this is a sharp, well composed portrait of this species of bustard, one that is new to me.

Your collection of images from Namibia astonishes me, Andrea.
This is yet another great image of this female bird found in Africa. It adds immensely to my knowledge about wild life on our planet.

Very detail, good job. But have abit noise. You can resolve problem by this way:
- Filter-noise-despeckle to remove the noise.
- Adjust curves to get more clearly.
