[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Zizina otis lampa - The Lesser Grass Blue is rather common and can sometimes be abundant in localised areas. It is a small butterfly and is usually found flying close to the ground in open sunlit grassy patches. The male is dull purplish blue above whilst the female is brown. The underside is grey with a series of small dark spots on the fore- and hindwings.

The butterfly is more often observed outside the nature reserves, in suburban areas where the host plant, Mimosa pudica (Touch-Me-Not/Sensitive Plant) can be found growing as a weed. As it is so small, it is often overlooked as it flutters feebly amongst the roadside weeds, searching out small flowers as it feeds.

That's a wonderful shot, so clear and lovely colours on butterfly and background. Very tasteful composition. Amazing to read that their food plant is the little delicate Mimosa! Did you take this in Singapore?

I like the picture.
Maybe a good thing you underexposed a bit if I understood well? EV minus 1.
Though I don't understand why: most of the image is green background...so the evaluative metering should say "hey, a lot of light thus I don't need much" and now you instead of compensating you are doing the opposite...one stop less?
Anyway great photo with excellent sharpness and detail.
