|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|for some the heaven is white and full of light, for me not...|
This is a detail of a ... sea anemone. Perhaps most of you are used with a different kind of image for this type of invertebrates. But indeed this sea anemone is a special one and it is called by genus *Heterodactyla*. A well chosen and simple to read name that translates in "various types of fingers" (here tentacles). The funny colored spherical structures (nematospheres) as well as every square millimeter of tentacle surface are packed with stinging capsules which are used for capturing prey and defence.
Note about the image: This image was not taken with a SLR camera. These are the real colors; not enhanced changed in any way. I feel pity I did not have a better camera to be able to control on the image. Regardless, the beauty of this neon-like creature is almost impossible to describe in words and perhaps to capture with any camera.
The image was taken during the night in improper photographic conditions. Because the animal was placed in a plastic bucket with some sea water, the main difficulty was to find the best angle for tilting the camera so that no reflection from the flash occured on the water surface. Another issue was the size of the details you see in the picture: each (nemato)sphere has no more than 2-3 mm in diameter. Though cheap, this 950 CoolPix camera was very good in macro domain. This was a rewarding way to relax after a fruitful field trip day.

Hermosa composiciòn de agradables colores. Estas anèmonas se asemejan a manos que toman frutos maduros ¿verdad? Congratulaciones por la captura.
Considering the limitations of your equipment I think this is a fantastic image. The colors are just amazing. I do like the crop you gave it. It is a really nice composition with the purple clusters on the diagonal.
