[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Digging back into the archives (it's been cloudy lately), here's a shot from the same location as my most recent ones -- Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park. This was a beautiful 25C day (76F).

Slightly different view than normal, usually Mt Rundle is in the background. Good color, good details. If you have PSCS2, you may want to try the shadow/highlight tool to pul more detail out of the dark trees (left).

Hello Mike,
Superb landscape shot!
So well composed, and the colours and details are wonderful...
Great feeling of depth in this fine capture!

Postcard landscape photo. Well done. We all should take notes on this one.

Hi Mike,
Good landscape...wonder if a polarizer has been used.

Hi Mike,
It seems that in Alberta there are plenty of wonderful places. How peaceful. Nice composition
with the reflections in the lake.
Best regards

One never tires of looking at these picture perfect views of certain well advertised placed in the US and Canada, Mike.
This is a perfectly balanced landscape with everything in place -- colours, point of view, depth of view and all that.
Thanks for sharing it.

This is nice Mike. I really like the fore and mid ground interest and clarity. there is good color saturation and a nice range of values.

I went here when I visited Canada earlier in the year. It was a shame that it was the one day of my trp when it rained! It looked lovely even in the rain but it certainly looks beautiful under the sun. Wonderful composition, colours and light here.

Hi Mike,
I already thought, did the snow melt and did the Indian summer come in with a huge raise in the temperature? It's a great spring photo, with beautiful fresh green colors and a stunning reflection.

P.S. cloudy day are also good for photography, you can get nice soft shades.

you're right it was a beauiful day and a stunning one as well. I really like the composition in this picture. And the mountains are great (I'm a sucker for mountains). the refelction really adds to the picture as well.

What a beauty Mike, love your composition framing the shot with the grass in the foreground. Great depth and excellent sharpness and clarity. Exposure is well handled. Very nice work..

Hi Mike,

A good POV of Vermillion lake and of the mountains, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

I love this shot, it looks like a great shot for someone to paint! You really have captured some nice shots of this wilderness. They all depict the remoteness of the area.
