A sight many people never get to see this close. Certainly good enough to show the accurate colors and intricate detail in this tiny world.

fascinating documentation with image and text assisting and completing each other in a very instructive and interesting way. Although the picture is not clear enough to be self explaing without the notes - and possibly may not get enough instant attention from the thumbnail - the entity of picture and text is excellent, and a very valuable contribution on the reproduction behaviour of freshwater snails.
Well worth to get your feet wet, and getting pinched by a crayfish.
Thank you for sharing your adventurous in-depth observations with us sitting comfortably in front of the computer screen!

Well done Jean.
Especially the "pinched by crayfish" part!
A real nature photographer follows the subject..wherever that may be ;)
Great note explaining what I'm looking at, and documenting the photo..
Have a Great Week!

Even those technical difficulties that you mention here, I think that this picture is very interesting. It is the first time I see something like that and that is what Trek Nature is about. This is a very educative post with great notes! Thanks for sharing it.

Good effort going to much extend of shooting this. Very interesting shot. I like your elaborate notes. Wow, some eggs were currently being layed? Wow.. that's fantastic, must have been an awesome experience watching that.
Be careful next time! Either that, or fish for the crayfish for dinner. :)
Good one providing good knowledge, nevermind the technicalities.

Wow, your hardwork and passion amazed me. I like your passion towards photography.
I think your sharpness is more on the top of the shell rather than on the eggs due to macro mode.
The exposure is just nice.
