This reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock movie 'The Birds'. They do look like trouble. Nice lighting. TFS.
These are Common Ravens of the western race, Corvus corax sinuatus and are the bane of the existence of the native Desert Tortoise. They attack and eat the young tortoises almost as soon as they hatch.
Yes, Ravens might be considered the largest crow, but they are very different in habits to crows. :)
NICE SHOT, excellent composition and beautiful birds. This is a pair, and they are re-establishing their pair bond, which happens all year, despite the fact that they only breed once a year. They usually start their pair bonding rituals in winter, but will get close for mutual preening and cuddling at any time of year. :)
