[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I made this photo on Thanksgiving day. During a post-dinner, pre-dessert walk with some friends we encountered an excellent early evening aurora display in the sky overhead. After dessert I ran out with my camera and tripod into the -20F air and made a few images. This is my favorite of the series.

Wow, I would love to see this one in my life - let alone capture it on camera. Lovely colours and excellent handling of the light. The trees make this a great composition as well

Hi David

What a stunning shot, I'm so jealous as I would love to see this one day, the composition is excellent with the silhouletted trees and all the stars too.

Hello
Wonderful! I admire it especially because I've seen aurora twice and I also wanted to take some pictures but I didn't succeed at all.
Greetings

Hi David,
What a beautiful sky you can see there! Perfect exposure and very cold air (-29║C!)

That is beautiful, David.
It is my dream to one day see the Northern Lights with my own eyes.
Until then pictures such as yours really give me a feel for the amazing colors and surreal quality of such a scene.
Well done and TFS. : )

Paul

Hi Dave,
I hope that after this you got back inside for a hot cup of java and stiff drink next to it. The moment is worth the -20F. You captured is perfectly, especially the way you angled the composition and gave it an extra dynamic touch to it. The two colors are so beautiful.
TFS,
Niek

Very beautiful captured extremely vivid colours.
Good work.

Regards Anders.

Interesting, sharp and beautiful.
Lowering the camera slightly so that the sky doesn't touch the frame below, would have made the composition even beter (but that is a small nit only)
TFS

one day I'll get to see the aurora, but until then your photos will have to keep me going and this is crytsal clear and beautiful.

Emma
