This is a Capuchin Monkey, the most common specie in almost all Venezuela. They are found from Costa Rica to Paraguay. These animals have adapted to living in places populated by man. Capuchin Monkeys are tree-dwellers, and very agil and showy, by its acrobatics demonstrations on the tree's branches.
These are very intelligent monkeys that are common as pets, trained performers, and therapy animals. Capuchin Monkeys are numerous in captivity in the USA and Europe. Organ grinders have used these animals for decades.

It took me a lot of time to get this shot, because they are moving constantly so fast, and when you get them in focus, suddenly jumps and go away.

Scientific Name: Cebus Capucinus
Life Span: 15-20 years
Length: The length of the head and body is 12-22 inches. The length of the tail is approximately the same.
Weight: Capuchin Monkeys weigh 3-8 pounds.

Menuda cara de pena que tiene el mono... Muy bien cogida la expresión y muy bueno el encuadre. La próxima vez intenta no comprimir tanto la imagen.

Un saludo

Hello Jose,
I like a lot this Capuchin and its expression. I imagine how it was difficult to capture him moving always ;-) The background is a bit grany but not a problem here the picture is pleasant.
Congratualtions and TFS

Hello Jose,
excellent capture, but he looks a bid sad.
The details and the texture of the fur look wondeful. Very well composed with perfect sharpness and excellent POV.

Me encanta.
Enhorabuena y saludos.

Hi Jose

This is a nature site MF. Self portraits are not allowed (chuckle).

What a beautiful portrait of this monkey with the soulful eyes and intelligent facial expressions.

The composition is great and the cropping was perfect for this shot, leaving sufficient space all around. The colours are very natural and the details are razor sharp. The BG is well OOF and the contrasting colours compliments the subject extrememly well, while the exposure was well controlled making great use of the available light.

Great work and TFS.

How do,
Your subject has a question in his eyes "Can I help you".
Great POV with an overall great photo.
He also looks like a neighbour of mine a man named Jimmy over in the next community. Same mustache,LOL.

Hi Jose
Just marking this wonderful post from you and will return with a proper critique. Sorry friend.

Hallo Jose
Looking at this Capuchin Monkey's face, I feel broken-hearted in a way. I am sure this is how these monkeys characteristics are and that they all look alike, but to me, this one just has such an unhappy look to it. I just cannot get the watery eyes and the miserable look on its face out of my mind. A good focused portrait with sharp details. The expression is worth a thousand words. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.
Kind regards

Hello JM,
Intense eyes and a fine portrait!
I notice the the well groomed fur coat and the funny expression in his face...
