[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was very fortunat to meet Bev Kingdon "the Swan Lady"
on one of my outings. Through her I learned about the Trumpeter Swan reintroduction program here in Ontario.
Bev is not only feeding the birds, but she is also scanning the area for any untagged Trumpeter Swan. As you can tell there is one on the right side of my picture.

Tracking the health and movements of the Trumpeter swans is very important to the reintroduction Program. therefore most of released Trumpeter Swans in Ontario are leg-banded with a metal band and identified with large plastic yellow wing-tags with a three-digit number on it.

Hi Sky,
Looks like she has quite a few close friends there. Overall scene looks great. Nice colors and detail. Well done.
Scott

Hi Sky, I like your photograph and I like your story. You've got good action with Bev feeding the swans, with decent composition. More for play than anything else, (see what happens when I get a little time on my hands), I've created a workshop to selectively lighten up a couple of areas (swans faces, water).

Thanks, John

Hello Sky.
You got a great composition and a great history here.
Love the colors and details and like the way that you have set up the shot with the birds in the front and the lady in the back.

Hello Sky,
Kind of fun to see them walk around with those shining yellow tags..!
Good details, and the person in the picture gives a good scaling of the actual size of these majestic birds...
Feather coats well exposed, situation is well framed!
Greetings,

Hi Sky.
Very interesting composition and well done picture. I think the lights and darks are balanced very well. DOF is selected precisely as well as the POV and cropping. My compliments and best regards.
Alexei.

Hi Sky,
It is really great to meet these kind of people, especially when you take the time to talk with them.
You've captured a beautiful moment of interaction between Bev and the swans.
TFS,
Niek

Hallo Sky,
Heinz

gee none of my swans here have tags on them...course I have no idea what kind of swans they are either but have about 14 of them still out front...I love these birds..so beautiful. Great information and love the shot..you got a great POV here. TFS
