[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Lilacbreasted Roller : distinguished from similar Racket-tailed Roller by its obvious lilac, not blue breast, by being generally paler and by having pointed, elongated outer tail feathers. Imm : lacks elongated outer tail feathers but the Lilac-coloured breast differentiates it from the european and Racket-tailed Rollers. Habitat : Mixed areas of thornveld, open broad-leafed woodland and alongside roads. Common in the northern part of the region in South Africa. Call : Harsh squawks and screams when displaying.

Hi Farid, wonderful colors, great sharpness, nice details, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Farid,
This is an amazingly sharp, clear and colourful picture of this lovely bird.
Great job!
Thanks for sharing it.

What a gorgeous bird Farid. This is a perfect composition. I love the branch and the simple background.
I that there are already 2 workshops posted for this photo. I did one too, before I noticed. It is just that it is a fantastic photo and fantastic subject...it just lacks a little impact...which I boosted simply and differently than the other 2.

Very nice capture Farid, with soft and warm colors.

I like it a lot: composition, color, POV, DOF, focus, lighting, sharpness, background.

I like it: notes.

I don't like it: framing (for that adjusted below clipping the end of the tail).

Excellent post, thank you for sharing.
Greetings... Ricardo

Hello Farid,

What a wonderful picture of a very colorful bird with a fantastic light!!! Wat it cold outside to have him with the feathers like that? The picture is a little too much cropped IMHO... Try having more space around the bird... But it still a remarkable great picture, my friend! TFS,
