[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yellowstone National Park is famous most for the geysers in the park. But I think equally dramatic is the valley cut by the Yellowstone River, usually named the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The soft yellow rock here gives color to the river as it erodes and reveals the underlying rock.

Hi Mike,
Very impressive view on these rocks. Amazing to see the pines in the back holding on the slope.
Best regards
Anne

Hi Mike,

This is a nice shot. I think with an adjustment layer you could saturate the OE background a little...or is it that my monitor is too bright?? I like all the detail in the rock.

Hi Mike,
I agree with you. This scene is really very nice and interesting. You are too successful to capture it. I feel magnificence of huge rocks. Bravo and TFS.
Greetings
Fevzi

Hi Mike,
The first time I saw the canyon, I was amazed about the difference in color compared to the rest of the park. I've tried to get some detail shots from the canyon, but the light was too bright, and the details were hard to find. You found a beautiful spot and got great control on the brightness and the colors. Great details and composition.

Niek

Hi Mike, this looks like an interesting place with many possibilities. What catches my eye here is the trees on this steep slope. If possible I may have extended the telelens more on a particular group to isolate them. I have many similar photos myself on my hard drive but because I can't frame a strong composition they don't have visual impact. I do think in softer light this would have worked better though.

Steve.
