common summer resident. Two forms: a) with clear white underparts (one shown here). b) totally black except for white wing-bar. Pairs occur in any woodland, riverince forest, valley bush and bushveld. A noisy and conspicuous species.

got this shot near the banks of river Sabie close to Lower Sabie rest camp. it was a cloudy early morning, shot was difficult, but the bird co-operated well. A pair of them were playing around in the bush and this one came out and posed for a while.

Sympathique oiseau bien net.
Maybe the branches in the left corner could be made a bit darker
through PP...doing so they'll probably not tend to look a bit overexposed; a minor critique...
