European Jay - Ghiandaia

(Garrulus glandarius)

here some info in ENGLISH sourced from the web.

Ciao a tutti

Fine capture! The only distraction is the blur in front of the branch, but not much could be done about that. I enjoyed seeing this relative of our local Jays.

Hi Andrea,
Nice capture...looks like you've gone big time on the equipment front! NIce BG and good sharpness with the bird containing excellent detail. Not too sure about the metal(?) object at the bottom in the FG...the highlights on it are a bit distracting.
Merry Christmas.

Alla fine arrivata anche lei alla portata del tuo tele.

Complimenti, peccato solo che fosse in ombra. Come dice angelo per i dettagli sono bellissimi.

TFS, ciao, Emanuele

Hi Andrea,
Very well captured bird.
Nice crisp colors and details.
Great work.

non saluto n te, n l'altro mio EX amico di gela!

Hello Andrea,
This is a beautiful shot of a bird that I don't know about. I like its pose, light in its eyes, exposure, colors and compo. Well done MF and have a good Holidays season ;)

Beautiful picture of this Jay, Andrea.
The image is perfect in every respect.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
TFS and take care.

Hi Andrea,
What a nice looking bird, nicely captured & composed. Sharp against a very pleasing background.

I do like this image.
Especially in terms of colors here. The pose of the bird is almost the one a good painter could use.
Though it has to be said I'm a bit puzzled about the blurred 'thing' in the foreground.

Ciao Andrea, grande posa e bellissima foto in condizioni non ottimali, Bravissimo
Ciao Silvio

Hello Andrea,
Excellent capture of the European Jay with excellent sharpness and presentation.
You must feel inspired to get a Canon ID yourself and become a professional nature photographer!
Have a good Holiday season!

this is so beautiful!!
great sharpness and a very fine background
the lightning is very nice and the dof perfect
well composed to

I know this bird as "vlaamse gaai, Garrulus glandarius Eurasian Jay" < Flemish/Dutch, Latin, English names >

I am a wee surprised that no-one has pointed these names out.

Great shot that shows the nature of this "beastie"... An intelligent bird that is not to shy, yet very cagey.

A great shot, with wonderful details For the presentation I would have chosen a tighter crop to get rid of some of the less attractive "debris". I would avoid cloning though; it is not the only option! Ciao, Jay

PS I will post WS when I get a new quota... ;)
