I found this snake two days ago after it penetrate into a hose not far from Tel Aviv.
This species is very close systematically to the Natrix natrix which is very common in many places in Europe.
This species feeds mostly on amphibians and fishes, but lately I heard about observation of individuals that ate mice. |
