Superb detail in this extra crop! The compound eyes show very well in this Platycnemis, as do he other details of the head. Nice composition and presentation.

Hola Felipe and Cristina,
a superb close-up of the damselfly face. Focus is just right and sharpness is excellent within a very narrow spatial range. Looking at the eyes and the mouth parts, I would like that you achieved a 'better' DOF. The posterior parts of the compound eyes do not show any structure details. Were they lost by noise reduction? Nevertheless, the picture is really admirable and I will select it as one of my favourites.

Una macro extrema mis amigos con un fabuloso manejo de la EOS y su lente.
Los detalles, colores, profundidad e iluminación captados son maravillosos.
La combinación del punto de vista y el encuadre elegido para su presentación es muy efectiva con gran impacto visual.
Excelente uso del flash, seguramente con alguno de los métodos de difusión que me has explicado, con escasos reflejos a pesar de la dificultad que representan estos insectos.

Another fantastic macro from you!!!
I LOVE this damselfly and its huge round and colorfull eyes!
This shot actually makes me even more anctious of my SLR and my future macro lens (but i still have a long wait...until at least april :(( )
Anyway, the details here are magnificent, the sharpness impeccable and the frontal POV excellent.
