Hope, for i hope that generations will have the opportunity to feel the presence of the tiger in the Jungles of India. To see & photograph this most impressive predator in the wild.

This photograph was from elephant back, the tigress had settled half way up a hill side across a small dry nallah ( Stream) & viewed us disdainfully for having disturbed her morning nap.A seconds eye contact without the lens between us left me with a shiver & a feeling of awe.
There is a lot of clutter photographically but this is tiger country.

Very nice catch, you need allot of luck to see this animal in her natural habitat.

Bonjour Badruddin

Hello Badruddin,
Wow! This is a great capture especially because it was taken in the wild; this is a unique moment that you lived. I guess I will never have this chance because it is not the tiger country here :-) I could imagine that this encounter was very impressive as she look at you directly in the eyes; what a feeling you must have lived. This is a very nice capture with excellent composition and I really enjoyed reading your interesting notes about this specie and your picture. This is a great shot! I wish you and your family a great New Year 2007. Thanks,
PS, I like this much appropriated title :-)

Hello Badruddin

I don't care about the clutter around the tiger.
All I see is one of my beautiful tigers in hner natural environment.
Any such photo is a cause for happiness.
I also hope that generations ahead of us will still be meeting with tigers in the wilds of India, but I fear that we are losing the battle, due to the corruptness and apathy of politicians and the power of the poaching gangs that are robbing us all of God's greatest masterpiece.
Beautiful photo and thank you for sharing it with us.
