[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In December I took a short break to north Queensland, where I visited some favourite places north of Cairns and on the Atherton Tableland. One of those places is Mossman Gorge National Park, where I found this beautiful adult Boydís Forest Dragon (Hypsilurus boydii). This is a medium sized dragon with a snout-vent length of about 150mm. They live exclusively in dense coastal rainforest from near Townsville north to Cooktown.

Although Iíve been to this area on a number of occasions over the past 20 years, this is the first time Iíve been lucky enough to find this elusive species. And of course, once you found one, they pop up everywhere, and this time I saw three individuals in four days.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Chris!

Very nice dragon! I like especially vertical composition and POV. Details on reptile's body look great - different shapes of scales are very good visible. Congratulations, this is really good catch!

Unusual post, really impressive and detailed,
Andrea

Hello Chris,
Ever since I saw this fellow in Daintree I've wanted a good shot of it but came nowhere near this standard. The flash brings out the details very well and this is a fine presentation.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Chris,
you already alerted my eye before, but this is it! What a beautiful and techically mastered shot of the Lizard I never even heard of before (but of course I am your antipode, almost). Congratulations!
Cheers, Dietrich
