[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Flamingo Bay is at sewree within a city like Mumbai. We have been witness to more than 20000 Lesser Flamingo's , 100's of greater Flamingo's & probably 100000 waders, gulls, terns, raptors that gather on this bay. We have been witness to this spectacle of life for many years.

The flamingo's come in around October end & leave in June when the monsoon hits Mumbai every year.

The other waders visible in this photograph are Black Tailed Godwits (Limosa limosa).

I chose this photograph as it is a painful reminder as to how easily things can go wrong. This year we have been host to only 35 Lesser flamingo's at Flamingo Bay. We are still watching & hoping. There are reports of disease in Africa that dont sound good.

32mm on coolpix 4500.

Hello Badruddin

Great panoramic shot of this special place. To see the spectacle year after year is a blessing.Your shot shows the scope of this very well. The POV and DOF are well done. The details are sharp and well focused.Nice colours too.TFS

I love flamingo photos, because their color is so unusual in nature that it brings your attention right away. Very good composition you made there. I'm sorry for these beautiful birds and for you don't see this wonder any more. Thanks a lot for sharing!
