Elegant colourful picture. I especially like how you have applied the flash. Double lighting has made very nice effect. Illumination of the butterfly are simply amazing. The colours and details of these beautiful insects are perfect. The leaves of the plant are looked nicely too. The delicate and light colour tone of the BG is also suitable to main subject perfectly. Perfect bottom to enhance the beauty of this mating Scott.
The appropriate illumination offers us a heap of details of the butterflies, including the intense and natural colors, with the exact focus and the necessary sharpness.
I love the vertical framing with the lovers hanging of the leaf.

Hello Scott,

How colorful love can be! You've captured a very special moment with great skills! Most of all I like the way you used the (fill) flash without creating any weird reflections on the butterflies' scales. I wonder if you use special techniques such as bouncing the flash off a light surface or if you use special flash difusers? Whatever the technique, the results you achieved are marvelous. I can't even see a reflection in the glass pane. And all this while still exposing the subjects perfectly. Outstanding job here!
The background is very appropriate for this shot. It makes the buterflies stand out and with the green color of the plant it creates such a lovely and colorful combination.
The focus is well achieved, rendering sharp details on both the butterflies. The useful notes and funny title complete your post. Great work of art as usual! Thanks!

This is a sweet shot!
This is MY favorite B-Fly. I love the composition here. The detail of both although the bottom lacewing's feet are amazing. I hate to ask what they are doing in the shot. :) Perfect DOF here.

I have heard stories about acrobatic manoeuvres and some say the sky is the limit, but this is pushing it. Very well seen and brilliantly captured.

An excellent composition and action packed POV with beautiful colours. The BG is the optimal OOF blur, the details are splendid, and the exposure was spot-on.

Those patterns and colors are just stunning. In this pose it is hard to tell who is who. The composition with the perfect OOF BG is awesome. It might be me, or my monitor, but I feel that the photo could use a little more sharpness. But reading all the other critiques, it must be me.
